Management by Walking Around- A Leadership Principle

Planning PS Saitoti Torome today demonstrated his advanced leadership qualities by walking in the Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate Offices in ABSA Towers in Nairobi.

The PS flanked by the Administration Director, Joel Makori and Heads of Units within Administration visited the MED Staff on their working desks, greeting and familiarizing himself with the working environment that the officers undergo through during their daily routine assignments.

Thereafter, the PS held a boardroom meeting with the staff where sufficient information was shared and grievances affecting staff documented for subsequent official address.

PS Saitoti encouraged the 8 newly recruited Economists and Interns deployed to the Directorate by the Public Service Commission asking them to work very hard to promptly deliver the government services to the Tax Payers. He promised them that the future for Economists in government is very bright.
The Director in charge of MED Directorate, Mr. Aloyce Ratemo coordinated the entire process.
